Liam Shea, aka Templo, strives to blend atmospheric soundscapes with deep melodic bass. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Templo's interest in music began at the age of 11 behind a drum kit & has since sparked his interests into all types of instrumental experimentation, evident in the music he is making today. Templo’s passion derives from contemporary sound, with influences including Tipper, Random Rab, and Emancipator, while at the same time paying heed to the classics, attempting to emulate the sounds of J Dilla, Eek-A-Mouse and the Gorillaz. Templo’s eclectic taste comes through in his music, as he aims to blend downtempo trip-hop, funk and dub elements all in one.
Templo has seen his career as an artist evolve exponentially since the inception of “Templo” in 2013, already, having played such tenured events as Sonic Bloom, Gem and Jam, and ARISE music festival after first taking the stage as Templo last year. He released his first album, ‘What Have I Done,’ in 2013, available on Spotify, iTunes, and for free Everywhere! Ultimately, Templo aims to inspire creation and imagination in the music community and beyond.
